Practical use for crypto??

As much as we love trading, exchanging, mining and buying our coins and tokens, we are still in a time where we struggle to find a way to spend/ use them.Right now, we are still in the development stage of what crypto and blockchain can really do. We love to talk about it to our co-workers, friends and family and we say how it will change the world in how we buy, sell and interact with each other in the economic world. The tides are changing, and quickly. But no one has really developed a system where we can actually spend these currencies in a practical manner. Yes, sometimes we can find a site that will let us buy a new hat, but that is the only hat we can buy in one location.The whole idea of decentralization is to have something be consistent everywhere we go on the net.I stumbled on this project called SLATE or SLX.These guys have developed two platforms that will give practical use to their token.The first being Binge, a blockchain VOD service that gives unrestricted access to a streaming platform similar to Netflix, Hulu, etc...You would use the token to pay for your subscription but by taking part in the platform, in sharing, reviewing content, you are incentivized with tokens.Not only that, but unlike the aforementioned services, Binge will give a real time data analytics dashboard for the content creator to see. This system is to back up a per-stream 'royalty' for the creator so that they are fairly compensated for the content they have created. A strong armed up-front deal will not be the only way that SLATE acquires content. The per-stream incentive is super attractive not only to the creator, but the user. If we know that our streaming habits help content creators, then we will feel better about the constant, unrestricted streaming. Everyone wins. Similar to how we have all adopted Spotify instead of illegally downloading music. We may only use the free version of Spotify, but at least we know the artist is being paid something for our listening habits, rather than nothing at all.The second platform from SLATE (SLX) is Slatix. A ticketing service that will use the SLX token to pay for, well, tickets! The idea is to get any form of entertainment that requires a ticket to adopt the token and allow patrons to buy their ticket this way. The beauty of this system is that because it uses blockchain technology, it not only has next to no service fees, but it eliminates fraudulent tickets and piracy! The blockchain ledger allows everyone to give a trace of every transaction. As we know, this is a big reason why we love blockchain tech, with or without a practical use for the coin or token. It's fair and it's transparent.This is a very ambitious project. Giving some kind of universal, practical use to a token is so key to full adoption of the the crypto/blockchain system for everyone, not just SLATE.I want to know what all of you think!
