Before investing in any ICO, I thoroughly do my due diligence. Its very easy to launch any coin in the market today and only two important things needed for a decent ICO is a nice website and the white paper.It's just these two elements necessary for relatively successful ICO and when a coin fails in these two department, I have to say either the team is very inefficient or its an scam. Today I was going through ICO of Quarkchain. My due diligence says not to invest in this coin, I won't say its a scam but will advise caution before investing.I found their whitepaper to be plagiarized from different sources, such as section 2.3 is completely copied fromhttps://www.quora.com/What-is-blockchain-scalinghttps://www.hashhack.it/posts/blockchains-dont-scale-not-today-at-least-but-theres-hope.Section 2.3.3 is partly plagiarised fromhttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shard_(database_architecture)I stopped there itself but doubt that the rest of the paper would be plagiarized too. It was a surprise that when I mentioned this on their telegram group, the founder Mr Qi Zhou first warned me and then claimed it to be paraphrased. Any academic like Mr Qi Zhou should know that even if you paraphrased from other source you should always referenced that source.Anyways when I attached the snapshot of the plagiarized material Mr Qi Zhou was quick to spot that it might be an editor fault and offered me a bounty for spotting it which I kindly declined.I would like to acknowledge that at no point the admin tried to ban me in their telegram group and I give them credit for that, there have been instances when I spot similar things in other ICO and I got banned within minutes. Also I would like to clear here that I am not claiming this ICO a scam but I am skeptical of the ICO who can't even do two thing proper 1. Website 2.
